William Basinski

Classically trained, avant-garde US composer Basinski presents a syphonic interpretation of his 2002 album, 'The Disintegration Loops', the foundations of which Basinski salvaged from early recordings on magnetic tape. The day he finished digitising them was 9/11 and he filmed the destruction of the Twin Towers from his Brooklyn rooftop, while playing the recordings.
