One of the biggest burlesque festivals around comes to Camden this May.
One sector of the economy still shows no sign of wilting: burlesque keeps on booming. The tenth London Burlesque Festival features more than 100 artists showcasing all kinds of neo-burlesque performance, strip-tease and other sexy endeavours. Founded by Chaz Royal, it’s a huge affair and attracts both performers and fans from around the globe. Attendees can see tons of popular shows, such as the opening and closing galas, showcases of UK and international talent, and nights dedicated to ‘boylesque’ (male burlesque) and twisted cabaret turns.

I love this event, I proposed to my wife at LBF 2007 and we've been coming back every year. can't wait for May!!!
I love LBF because it's real! The shows are fun, the venues are affordable for drinks, the staff always helpful and friendly. I use to be a little shy and have met so many friendly people at LBF over the past few years. The shows are always jam packed with creative and amazing costumes, wicked hair and make up, and crazy story lines. Just GO! xxx
Without a doubt Chaz Royal puts on great shows! He's responsible for putting on hundreds of burlesques all over the world and has a high standard, keen eye for new and refreshing artists, but also selecting established artists that are bold and exciting. My wife and I flew all the way from America last year and are back for the opening weekend. Hope to meet some new friends, we had a lovely time last year. Everyone so friendly and welcoming.
Melissa must have a stick up her own ass because I've been coming as well since 2007, mind you not every year, but the artists are always diverse and refreshing. I've been to some of the other London based dinner cabarets and found them to be pretentious and boring with all the same acts every weekend. LBF brings artists together in a unique way. Myself and over 30 people I personally know are coming to several 2015 shows in May. Very excited!
I've been coming to London Burlesque Festival since it's start in 2007. I've seen it grow and nurture burlesque in all it's forms, giving a real platform to the industry and showcasing hundreds if not thousands of artists from all over the world. LBF is a real working class event with the focus on the artist. Presenting them to London. Promoting them to the world. If you have the chance to go, don't hesitate! If you are ready for a great night out you will have it!
I applaud the burlesque 'dancers' for their efforts but this was absolutely horrendous! I was very surprised at the poor quality and professional ability of the majority of the acts last night.... £20 MY ASS!
