As part of the exhibition 'Vermeer & Music: The Art of Love and Leisure', musicians from the Academy of Ancient Music directed by harpsichordist Richard Egarr give a Sunday lunchtime concert in the Sainsbury Wing Theatre at the National Gallery.

Thomas Simpson: Tafel Consort

David Petersen: Sonata No 5 in G minor from 'Speelstukken' (Amsterdam, 1683)

Dario Castello: Sonata decimasesta from 'Libro Secondo'

Henry Purcell: Fantasia No 8; Suite in G; and Ground in D minor for solo harpsichord; Chaconne from 'The Fairy Queen'

(Note: as well as musical performance, there is a discussion between AAM director Richard Egarr and Betsy Wieseman, the National Gallery's curator of Dutch and Flemish Paintings. The other Sunday concert is on July 1.)
