There’s plenty of opportunity for alfresco quaffing here with an enormous front garden that spills down the sides of this friendly pub. Looking out on to a main Islington artery, it’s a little bit ‘urban’, but what the garden lacks in blooming greenery, it makes up for in capacity (it holds 300), plenty of boutique beers and craft ciders such as Old Rosie, Sierra Nevada and St Austell IPA. Regular barbecues and hog roasts complete the picture, as well as a comfort food favourites from the indoor kitchen such as half a roast chicken with bread sauce or beer-battered fish and chips.
