Went to this pub on Wednesday Evening,19th December 2012, highly over rated and expensive. Restaurant was booked for 8.00, didn't get to our seats until 8.45. Got there about 7 for a few drinks, about 20 of us, food that came was no where near enough for everyone as the portions were rationed. Mostly rice, noodles and some more noodles, meats were very minimal.must have paid about 850/900 pounds, food cost to them must have been £50.00. Very disappointing. Being a Christmas party, there were no music at all and no friendly service. All in all, this place is alright if your passing through and want a drink and a snack, and that's all, in a quiet atmosphere. Sadly, I would rate it a 3/10. Don't bother. Go to burger king instead.

Prepare to be surprised by the Ardleigh and Dragon pub restaurant in Hornchurch. A thoroughly English pub to all intents and purposes, the Ardleigh and Dragon has a somewhat unexpected splash of Eastern charm within, serving Thai food in a rather glamorous Asian influenced interior. East meets West seamlessly here, with a traditional British bar welcoming guests seeking the best of British real ales in a cosy, comfortable environment, however peacock blue wall coverings and contemporary copper light shades, polished wood floors and potted palms are undoubtedly influenced by the menu, which explores the flavours of South East Asia in a thoroughly authentic way with banquets, tasting menus and solo a la carte dishes offered alongside an impressive wine list. Outside, the style continues with a gravel and grass garden dotted with pergolas and even the odd Buddha statue, a beautiful place for summer evenings spent exploring the bar menu with its excellent British and Asian choices.
