Much nonsense has already been written about Bibigo’s arrival in London, which is supposed to herald a new age of ‘Korean fast food’. In reality, London has had Korean food – fast or otherwise – for decades, and Soho in particular is not short of good and affordable Korean restaurants. In fact, Bibigo merely replaces another Korean restaurant, Ran, on the same site.
We were disappointed with our dolsot (‘hot stone’) bibimbap. This is DIY stir-fry, the ingredients served in a hot stone bowl which is supposed to sizzle the ingredients as you stir the rice, namul (seasoned vegetables) and gochujang (chilli paste) together. The bowl wasn’t hot enough, and the portion was meagre. Portions of namul and kim chi (pickled cabbage, spiced with chilli) were also slight. However, the kalbi (barbecued short rib beef) was good, carefully marinated and well-flavoured.
The dining room has been lavishly appointed, but the service was hesitant and disorganised. Bibigo is a large international chain, but its first foray into the UK still needs more fine-tuning than a 1975 Hyundai Pony.

Really liked Bibigo. We went for the 3 courses for £13 deal, which was lovely. The compulsory salad starter wasn't your usual drab starter it was very flavoursome as were all the other courses. The non-alcoholic cocktails were also delicious. Service was really friendly. Would definitely come again, and recommend to all.
I can't disagree more with this review. I had lovely dinner in Bibigo several times. Every time I went there, their service is so impeccable and friendly. Their food is very fresh and so nice. Especially I like how they present their food, which I can't see any other Korean restaurant in London. I recommend this restaurant whenever people around me complain they don't know where to go in Soho. I think this review needs to be updated.
I completely disagree with the other remarks. My family and I spent an unforgetable evening in Bibigo. The food was just delicious, specially the red chicken, and the soup was excellent. The somellier recomended us a great french wine, and the service was really friendly and useful. I recomend it and I will come back for sure.
I have been to bibigo for at least 6 times now and it just gets better! I like how my jiggae (soup of the day) is always almost oil free and this isn't something u can find in other restaurant! service was wonderful and I love their Korean pancake dessert and their fresh fat succulent scallops!!! its a little expensive compared to other restaurant but the freshness and quality of food is incomparable. hv another big booking coming Feb I cant wait!
I usually agree with time out reviews, but in this case I couldn't disagree more! We went to Bibigo a few weeks ago and it was absolutely brilliant, the atmosphere was very lively, the service was friendly and efficient and the food was delicious. My husband had the short ribs and they were really amazing, would recommend it to anyone. This review is very suprising!
This is worst Korean I have tried. Just normal Korean food which is not better than other Korean restaurant.
