Bodean's

i love bodeans i always go there and have the jacobs ladder ribs and i nom my heart out and all you peeps that say its less than 5* is on shrooms

I love Bodeans and generally visit the Fulham one due it being near my house. I find the food quite consistent, especially the Pulled pork, coleslaw spare and jacob's Ladder ribs (which are what makes Bodeans for me). The food is why I give it 5 stars. Especially as US Kansas style fare is still pretty rare in London. The portions are decent as well. The service is variable -never bad but not always excellent. Some of the staff are very friendly, others are more neutral. The restaurant itself is far too small. Its a bit cramped and really for the level of custom at peak times it often gets insufficent. Its also a bit dark but the style is generally fun in a kitschy way. At all costs I would say avoid it during Chelsea home matches as their stadium is very near; that is unless you enjoy a drunken 'chavtastic' carnival (this applies to the whole of Fulham Broadway on 'match days') -and that's coming from a Glaswegian

As a regular at Bodean's tower hill I was disappointed with their Fulham branch. No complaints about the quality of the food which was consistent, my BBQ platter was however short of the usual baby back ribs but what stood out most in my mind was the terrible service. Most of the waiting staff I have no complaints about, the hostess however was rude and unaccommodating, didn't make us feel in the least bit welcome and us coming to the restaurant was an inconvenience. While I would strongly advise a visit to Bodean's, I would not advise you go to Fulham.
