Food's solid but don't understand why service is getting so many compliments- I've been twice, both times both waiter and chef were rude. Looks like the by-product of how in-demand they were- bloating egos and resulting in short thrift to anyone in close proximity. Dear mr waiter, next time you don't hear something I order from the menu, the correct response is "could you repeat that please?", not "you'll have to speak up mate" while looking in the other direction. Sounds petty but was one of 3 or 4 instances of rudeness which you don't seem to get from any other restaurant in the village. Won't be a third time.

very yummy food. it's not fancy, but thats the charm within Brixton Village, although there is no reservation, but the wait is not long, also BYO as well.

Really nice food....something totally different from your normal curry house with lovely fresh and spicey food and a really good price,its a must to visit and i will be again. Very well done.

The daal was fantastic, the best I've ever had, the chicken curry was fine, but not brilliant, the chai was very good once sweetened, the lassi was OK, the naan i thought quite good, and the pakora were fine. A slightly mixed bag, but i'd definitely go back for the daal and the chai. Good atmosphere, and very good prices. Bring a jumper though.

This place is perfect for a tasty, cheap lunch - massively authentic and absolutely scrumptious, with a super friendly owner to boot!
