  • Genuinely British F&C parlor, with loads of attitude and excellent food, topped with friendly service. Large portions, too, at correct prices. Excellent Haddock and Mushy Peas, good fried prawns.

  • Somewhere between 3 and 4 stars. I had takeaway, but the cod & chips was still good compared to the stuff I've had recently. It was odd, the more I ate of it, the more I liked. Crispy chips, freshly cooked, and decent batter.

  • I'm happy to have found this place. Very nice battered cod, chips that are not the tastiest in the world, but lovely and crisp on the outside, and soft in the middle. Good sized portions. Very cheap. Waiters clearly a bit over-loaded but polite. Fun 70's style decor, complete with ketchup held in large plastic tomatoes. Clearly this isn't exactly a posh restaurant, but it's fish and chips done properly - definitely recommended.

  • First rate; could not find better. So nice to have great TRADITIONAL English food in London without rip off prices and at a top quality with fantastic staff.

  • Thanks to the Golden Union for their impeccable personal service, delicious fish and wonderful chips. We brought our American colleagues here for a 'Taste of Britain'. They loved it, we loved it. Great atmosphere, really friendly staff and a nostalgic trip down memory lane. Thanks, we will be back again!

  • Totally amazing! Being a Friday and feeling a little on the fragile side, I took a walk around the corner from work and got myself a large cod and chips..... Being from the southern hemisphere I am a bit of a fish and chip snob but all I can say is this is the best F&C's I have had in years!!! Will be making this a regular thing for sure

  • Had the best take away from here last week and it was so yummy. Best chips i've had in years : ) If you go make sure you try their tartar sauce, it's homemade and seriously good. I will be back next time I'm in town.

  • I took a takeaway. I recieved Fish that you needed a hammer and chisel to cope with the batter only to discover grease soaked slimy fish underneath ,chips that had both the taste and the appearance of refries dry, hard edged and multicoloured all in all completely unedible, the seagull dined well on my misfortune. At just under £10 for mine and my wifes portions.

  • If you like soggy batter and savagely overpriced fish and chips then this is the place for you. Disappointing as I was rather hungry had to leave half the fish as it was undercooked. Service from the young gentleman who severed me was good hence the extra star.
