  • We have been several times to the Hampshire Hog and have loved it each time. The food is imaginative and made with best quality ingredients, the service is attentive, laid back and good fun and the atmosphere is buzzy and urban. We and our teenage offspring are delighted this restaurant opened in Hammersmith.

  • This has settled down to to a good local, great garden, lovely staff, best bloody Mary in west London. Jazz brunches have been great- good to have a local that serves good beer as well good food!

  • Service fine. Food overpriced. Portions small without the quality to justify size. House rose warm, sharp and vinegary. Live locally- great setting and building- really wanted it to be great and come here loads. Won't sadly.

  • We've been to this gastropub 3 times now, wanting to be impressed by the food as it is a beautifully decorated place, with a good concept, and the atmosphere is great, however the food has disappointed each time. A few examples from our last visit - the risotto was way too garlicky, and didn't seem to be 'properly' made in the slow-cooked manner (not creamy-sticky like good risotto should be, just soupy rice), the chicken and chorizo was almost unbearably salty, the gnocchi was also pretty salty and slightly burned. To top it all off, the service was terrible - we were left nursing our finished dinner plates for about 25 minutes before we had to ask for them to be cleared away, so by this point we had gone off the idea of dessert and made for a quick exit. The Anglesea Arms just round the corner beats it hands down every time.

  • I had heard great reviews and so my husband and I looked forward to a lovely Sunday lunch there last weekend. Unfortunately we didn't get as far as being seated. When I did intercept a waitress to ask if it was ok to have a look at the garden, she didn't even raise a smile or to say that she would be along to see us shortly. The garden was pleasant enough but noisy with children running around and we had to step over a couple of dogs en route! So we came back inside, found what looked like a lovely table and I approached another waiter to ask if it was ok to take a seat. He too was busy and asked us to wait while he tended to another order. 2 minutes was enough of a wait. We were clearly in everyones way – two unnecessary customers – so feeling very uncomfortable, we left and headed for the nearest restaurant on the same strip, the Mahdi, an Iranian restaurant which was extremely welcoming, and the food was wonderful.

  • I booked The Pantry at the Hampshire Hog for a party (drinks, canapes) of 25 people. I couldn't be more pleased with how it went; the manager (Joss) got in touch with me right away and was very proactive in helping make the arrangements, and staff on the night were excellent. Wine and canapes were great too. I really liked this pub, it's nicely laid out and decorated, good atmosphere and (so far) not too crowded. The Pantry was a great space for a party too, semi-private, just right. Based on my experiences, I'd say the teething troubles reported in the review have been overcome.

  • We loved the Hampshire Hog. Visiting London for the weekend, we were looking for a relaxed gastropub with good food and were not dissapointed. The atmosphere is friendly and busy. We had their excellent pork plate (my only complaint was that they could not make the plate for 3 people --only 2 or 4 portions). Then we had steak and prok belly, prepared simply and cooked well. The wine selection was good for the food served, and the sommelier had real enthusiasm and knowledge once we started to discuss.

  • Although i was expecting a gastropub, the hampshire hog is a delightful restaurant with a pub feel to it. We went for dinner last night and was welcomed by engaging staff and polite service. The food was yummy, especially the sharing starters. I enjoyed my main which was duck leg confit, however i do feel that there could be more choices. Overall i would recommend this place for dinner or even a casual drink. I look forward to going back.

  • Having walked past this place every day on my way to work I decided to finally go in for dinner the other night. I was a little sceptical after some of the comments below but I can only sing praises for the place! The atmosphere was relaxed but staff were attentive (our waiter was charming) and the interior is warm but fresh. My partner and I shared the Grand Selection followed by the Cod and Steak. The starter was delicious and presented beautifully and the meat and fish for the main were cooked to perfection. Wine list has a great selection and the cocktail I had was delicious. Will definitely be returning again soon to this sparkling gem!

  • I have been to the Hog three times now and just LOVE it. The old Ruby Grand which I always walked straight passed is now completely changed. The Hog is light and friendly. The staff are great and love kids. Food is delicious and its just what we needed in the area.
