Visited 22/04/2013.Disappointed.We had a table for 5..The food was ok , a couple of the party didn't enjoy their mains but overall it was acceptable and as part of a Monday/Tuesday special very good value. Unfortunately the service was appalling we arrived on time at 8.30pm and our main courses wern't served until 10pm. No apology or explanation told by the indifferent staff (who had no interest at all in our well being)that it would be along soon. Not good enough.

With its French bistro-style decor and globetrotting menu – ranging from Moroccan tagine and Thai curry to Mexican fajitas – Hudson’s aspires to the cosmopolitan. Bare brick walls, eccentric prints, ceiling fans and a profusion of green paint help set it apart from the average local gastropub, while in summer a stylish outdoor eating area fills with west Londoners looking as sophisticated as possible while enjoying what Hudson’s really does best: good, old-fashioned comfort food. Sunday roasts, served inside giant Yorkshire puddings with hearty root vegetables and sage and onion stuffing, are unbeatable, especially when followed with lip-smacking home-made desserts such as chocolate brownies and ice-cream or sticky toffee pudding.

Me and my boyfriend have visited Hudson's 7-8 times during the last 6 months and we have always got excellent service and superb food. We can not fault anything. We also like that they change the decorations according to seasons. We always bring friends here as we know they won't be disappointed.
A nice local restaurant with lot of potential but for our Sunday brunch left quite a lot to be desired. Our visit was let down by the front of the house welcome (he has obviously taken his grumpy pills that morning - bordering on rude as he instructed us where we could sit) and my eggs benedict came with a cold plate, cold bun (toasted and let let to go cold) and slab of ham straight from the fridge - so the nicely done eggs rapidly solidified. There was also a random £1.50 added to the bill, but they did take this and the service off without question - but also no interest either. It's nice local location, so it is worth giving one more try to see if it was just a very off day - but Mr front of the house you need to lighten up and at least pretend that you have some interest in your customers!
Was here for dinner mid week and decided to return for Sunday lunch having had a pleasant experience previously. Unfortunately this was completely ruined in what I can only describe as being the worst service I have ever witnessed. Drinks were forgotten, a starter was left out which we were then accused of never ordering and our main courses took an hour and twenty five minutes to arrive. When paying we let the manager know how disappointed we were, to which he replied " you don't know what kind of day I've had, and there's nothing I can do about it now." Hudsons has lost three local customers due to the rude and unprofessional manner in which we were treated.
I just wanted to have sunday roast on my way home and I was really hopping to have good service this time when got in.I told one of the waiter that I was gonna be outside and I took a menu with me this time to NOT wait for waiter to bring me a menu.It took him 25 min. to come to my table(that I can understant they were busy) and I had to wait another 35 min to get my sunday roast which is pre-prepared food!!!As I used to be cheif in a quite well restaurant I would say it shouldnt take more then 10 min. to serve.Anyway I finished my food, which was nice sunday roast that 1 star comes just because of that ,and I walked up to counter to pay my bill.I was expecting to get "apologize" but they put 10% for "table hold"!!! I told them that I was not willing to pay that 10% service charge and they said "that's fine" whitout saying sorry.Well I really wanted to give them another chance but that place doesnt deserve it,it was last time for me I will never go there again.
In short: the worst restaurant in London. Was there for breakfast and it took 20mins to get a cup of coffee. The food portions were very VERY small and they took 40mins for them to bring the food with very little customers in the place. When we wanted to order more drinks, the waiter would not come around, and when they did, I asked for a drink, asked anyone else at the table if they wanted anything and when I turned to give the additional order, the waiter was gone! When we wanted to leave it took 20mins and me asking 4 times for the bill. We had to pay with cash and card and we tried multiple times to get the attention of a waiter to pay with a card, but we were ignored again! After walking up to the counter, we paid with a card and while waiting (and being bumped into by staff who were disgusted with us being in their way) the waiter told us we were short by £7 to our surprise. This was the OPTIONAL service charge he was referring to and when we said we would not pay it because of this rubbish service, he started to yell to the manager across the room 'THEY WILL NOT PAY SERVICE!, THEY WILL NOT PAY FOR THE SERVICE!' Rather than starting an argument, we left. Will never go there again! Wish I would have researched more before waking in the door and wish I had the 2 hours I lost of my life back!
the place looks quite nice but the food is average and portions are tiny I wouldn't go back there or really recommend it wasn't terrible just average waiters were friendly
What used to be a family favourite has really taken a turn for the worse since i last ate there in 2009. Plenty of choice on the menu, but from my experience last night it's clear the kitchen can't deal with the plethora of options. A starter of nachos was nothing more than a pack of blue dorritos (honestly) with jalepenos out of a jar, a smear of avocado and some cheese, somewhere. Worth the 30+ minute wait it was not! The wait for the mains was just as long and the food poor. Minute steaks for the main were wildly undercooked vs the medium requested and a thai stir fry manages to be both charred on the outside raw in the middle. Scampi and chips looked like it had come straight out of the freezer. Service was poor and my complaints met with indifference. I shall not be going back.
AWFUL! Avoid this place like the plague! Awful Service awful food. We waited 2 hours for our main meal which came out cold and dry! When we complained the manager threated to call the police! It's only a matter of one until this place goes under. Save your money it makes McDonald's look like a Michelin star place. Disgusting customer service
