In the seven years since its opening, La Cave has established itself as a truly authentic slice of France in London. Situated in the leafy shades of Southwark Cathedral and neighbouring Borough market it attracts a loyal following of French ex-pats, city executives and "bon viveurs" in general.
Half of the space consists of a wine bar with an extensive choice of world wines available by the glass that can be enjoyed with plates of rustic meats and cheeses.
The other half is the restaurant where guests can dine from a gastronomic menu composed by executive chef Jamal Bendghoughi.
Having years of experience in Michelin starred establishments, he serves heartfelt dishes driven by curiosity to discover and the right marriage of ingredients.
La Cave, as the name suggests, specializes in wines with a list boasting of both iconic wines from the old world and future classics of the new world.
