The ice-cream counter in Harrods Food Hall is a sweeping parlour-style bar with plenty of theatre to enjoy, as staff compile exotic and expectedly pricey coupés and cocktails. You may have to queue, but this is first-rate stuff, produced under the expert eye of master gelatiere Gino Soldan. Speciality ingredients imported from Italy include Sicilian Tarocco oranges and Sorrento lemons – at times, you may also find ice-creams based on parmesan or gorgonzola cheese. We love the rose and white-chocolate flavour.
