Not sure where the 2 star came from given the content of the review seemed so favourable. Mike and Ike are very welcoming, the food is delicious (better and cheaper than the Delta Tavern in nearby Peckham) and the beer, while on the pricey side, crisp and refreshing... I go here weekly and have yet to be disappointed.... Though the Apon is undeniably an acquired taste (and a great deal of skill is needed to actually get the stuff in your mouth!)

I've been to Nkems on a few occasions with friends and I must say as a fellow Nigerian the food is very very good; especially the fish stew. The atmosphere is extremely relaxed and homely as this article suggests, the decor also far exceeds that of other Nigerian restaurants that i've been to in London (not mentioning any names!) and the prices are really reasonable. I have already recommended this restaurant to my family as well as my followers on twitter...lol!
