On a sunny Sunday morning, Lennie's is the place to go for a fry-up. Set out along the pavement, its wooden tables soon fill up with hungry – and hungover – residents of Hoxton. Own-made chicken burger and chips is on the menu, but most customers come for the breakfasts – the four or five different combinations on offer all cost £5 and include tea or coffee. If you like your greens then go for the house special, which incorporates a portion of spinach and mushrooms alongside the more conventional components of toast, eggs, bacon, and bubble and squeak. On weekdays breakfast is served until eleven; after that a caff menu takes over (lasagne, shepherd's pie and the like). It's all change again in the evenings, morphing into a Thai restaurant (Tue-Sat).
