London's best review, food and drink news
It ain't pretty, but for generously proportioned well-made sushi at a streetwise price, Ten Ten Tei is hard to beat. This Soho stalwart has the look of a back-lane noodle bar and the bustle of a British caff, with its plain wooden tables ready- loaded with napkins, chopsticks, toothpicks, pepper pots, chilli pepper sprinkles, soy and tonkatsu sauce. Some dishes may lack finesse, but they're great value. Crisp-skinned grilled mackerel (packed with omega-3) was a treat; salt-grilled squid legs were chewy but clean-tasting. But the best order here is the sushi of tuna, salmon, red snapper, scallop and mirin-sweetened omelette.

London's best review, food and drink news
I'm an amiable Scot who has been down in London for a couple of years now. I love living the London life of endless music and culture, heading out...
frequent customer of Ten Ten Tei when I do pop into London..their food is always well proportioned and consistently cooked. Deep friend foods are crisp, rice, udons and ramen are filling and the size does not mean bad quality! Oyako don, Una don are my favorites as well as many side dishes. I've yet to try the sushi here though.
