You’ll find Yildiz a little away from the main drag of Finsbury Park, amid a parade of restaurants. The place has been recently redecorated, and now has cream walls dotted with decorative plates and small pictures. The menu contains an enticing selection of mezes or starters, but as the restaurant follows the current trend of serving a range of side dishes in addition to the main course, these will be unnecessary unless you have the heartiest of appetites. Our mains were accompanied by extra grilled onion with pomegranate sauce, chilli onion, and a terrific salad including sliced gherkin. Excellent quail came with rice cooked just so, with slivers of vermicelli – a typical Turkish addition. Iskender kebab was very tasty too. Vegetarians have a choice of five mains served with rice, salad and bread; desserts are limited to baklava and ice-cream. Swift, unobtrusive staff added to our enjoyment. All round, the refit has led to an improvement in what was already a solid local.

I will have to come back to this as soon as I can come up with at least 20 words. Oh? ***Under Construction*** Right then, time to be creative. OK,...
The best Turkish food I've eaten outside of Turkey...which I've never visited. The Iskender is very fatty and heavy but heavenly good...you have to scarifice something right.
yildiz offers good quality to a low price. go there and order shish chicken. amazingly good, comes with rice and two different side salads and yummi bread.
