This place is epic. I mean the tapas is ok, comes pretty quickly and there is lots of choice - it's not the best i've ever eaten but it does the job. The decor (completely ridiculous) and the service on the other hand are second to none! Every time I've been here it's like a fiesta! Definitely dismiss the nearby chain restaurants and head to San Miguel to check out the banterous staff and extremely interesting (read: strong) cocktails. Also if it's your birthday the staff are more than happy to do a kind of mariachi band song for you, so there's always that to embarrass people with.

San Miguel is one of my go-to restaurants in Greenwich, I've probably been there 3 or 4 times. The decor is tacky, the food is reasonable, but what makes this place a sterling favourite is the service. Every time I've been in, I've had a different waiter, but all of them have been fab. Great recommendations and just the right level of banter (sometimes pretty hilarious).

Like I said, the food is a-ok, not out of this world. We normally go for the tapas sharing bits. The calamari is good, and I like the chorizo number too. The cocktails here are CRAY with a Capital C, I highly recommend (on behalf of my housemate) The Hurricane Leah which, I quote from her, "is wild". I think I had a pisco sour or similar which was good. It's well priced and a really good option if you're looking for an independent, quality local restaurant.

Awful! Overpriced and inedible. Tourist trap - nobody will ever visit again. Cocktails were tasteless and had zero alcohol in.
