After reading the review above I was very excited to eat some tasty authentic Vietnamese food however, the restaurant did not deliver. As mentioned below the staff are very rude, slow and impolite. The food is very bland, nothing like the food I had when travelling in Ho Chi Minh City. Nothing has any taste and the only vegetable used seemed to be onions. I would avoid this place like the plague! x

Took 8 people for lunch. Yes staff don't have a clue but the good was amazing. Totally fresh, tasty without food enhances. We all went away saying we would return. Several of us have already been back for more.

Well what can I say. I'm Vietnamese, a friend of the family and a local to the restaurant. I was surprised to see the new sign with "Time Out Best Cheap Eats" significantly displayed. I wanted to find out the reason and couldn't believe the number of negative comments I found here. Sadly, I agreed with all of it. The food has always been amazing hence the number of customers and I always recommend it to anyone who ask me for the best Vietnamese place to eat. An incident occurred with me recently which I feel compelled to write, this happened well before they put up the new sign. I asked a friend to meet me there for lunch. When I arrived she was sitting at a table for two. I asked her to move to a table for four as we had so many bags with us. The place was 3/4 empty but this stupid fat little waiter, a nephew of the owner told us we must remain at the table for two. I said no we need more space so we can be more comfortable when we eat. He still insisted that we must sit where we were shown to and that's the law he said. I said "Law? What law? What are you talking about? I'm here to eat, not attend court." We moved to a different table anyway. He couldn't do anything about it and went off to tell the other waiting staffs, the floor manager, the kitchen staffs and everybody came out to have a good look at me. That angered me so I called the manager to come over but she was afraid to. I complained to another waiter but he was petrified to do anything about it. Once the meal was over I went to see a girl at the nails bar a few doors down who's a friend of mine and the owner's sister. She couldn't apologise enough and said she will speak to her sister about it. Come to this place for the food if you must and leave early. The waiting staffs here are mainly overseas students on £4 an hour so don't expect a proper service if any at all. And avoid that stupid fat little waiter if you can.

I came here with my boyfriend a couple of weeks ago, we ordered the beef pho, traditional vietnamese pancake, grilled pork with vietnamese vermicelli and for starters we got vietnamese spring rolls and chicken satay skewers. The waiters did not understand a word of english, they we're very unpleasant and weren't even paying attention. I had to read my order to them 3 times. Food came out very quick however, the food was horrible. They lacked flavour and presentation, one of the worst vietnamese restaurants i've been too! Never going back! you'll be a fool too! I do not understand why it's recommended, the staff was so rude and like everyone said, they forced me to pay before I had even finished!!! DO NOT COME HERE! worst experience ever!

This place was recommended, but was a huge disappointment. The mixed starter looked and tasted as if the whole plate had been dumped in the deep fat fryer and left there for days. The quality was poor and the flavours were non existent. Spare ribs were cold and obviously not cooked to order. I had the beef soup, which was tasteless and the beef didn't taste very beefy. My fiancé had beef satay, which didn't look or taste as expected- bland meat in gravy. At £36 this was at best cheap takeaway that I wouldn't even want to eat after a heavy night out. Awful awful awful!!!!! Furthermore the waiting staff were very rude and persistently rushed us to pay before we had even finished our drinks! Disgraceful!

DON'T GO HERE. When I went, as the waiter's were clearing the table one said to the other to keep the rice that we hadn't eaten. They didn't realise I understand Vietnamese. When we confronted the maitre d, she had nothing to say. No wonder so many people have commented that they have been sick.

Ate here since the place had amazing reviews, and felt very unwell afterwards. I do not understand why this restaurant is so highly rated. Plus the staff were very unfriendly.

My friend and I had dinner at Song Que and we both had food poisoning afterwards with heavy sickness and diarrhea, trembling of entire body, dizziness, ... Beside that, the food was tasteless and the service terrible and very rude!

The place gave me food poisoning, bad rice I think. I do not really need to add anything more.

Worst restaurant visit ever! First of all I would never ever recommend this place to my worst enemy! It's simply bad service, bad food, bad hygiene and a very stressful atmosphere ! Feel sick the next day after been eating there! Don't go there!
