  • Tapas Brindisa is an exciting little tapas bar at the corner of Borough market. Like most places in the area it is often very busy and waiting for a table is almost always inevitable. This is the biggest downfall of the place as often you have to put up with customers standing near to you or having to sit crammed in close to other tables. If you can put up with this and enjoy the place for what it is with its costraints you should have a very good expereince. The food is always good (if a little overpriced) £5.5 for padron pepeers or £4.6 for a small slice of omlette. My only other criticism is that some of the food is too heavily garnished with salt. On the other hand - I have eaten some of the best tapas dishes in Brindisa (lamb cutlets, croquettes, gordal olives, iberico ham). I have also noticed that the menu changes and new dishes are added. Best to go with someone and agree to go halves on the bill before hand though as it can be pricy for what it is - especially if you add wine and Sherry. Service always seems fine.

  • Very expensive given the poor quality of the food and recipes. Patatas Bravas similar to McDonalds potatoes with ketchup Tortilla and fish overcooked

  • PLEASE TAKE MY WORD AND AVOID THIS PLACE! As a Spanish national I was was astounded by the lack of authenticty. On arrival I was asked to prove my nationality after keenly stating my national identity! The food had no relevance to the Spain I know and love and the staff were unbelievably rude. I've eaten in every spanish venue in the hope i might find a place from home. Wrong choice! ive eaten in evry Spanish venue in London and this IS THE WORST. My Father visits from Madrid next week and I've changed my plans to avoid embarrassment. If you want a taste of Spain, please see the Easy Jet website for cheaper and richer way to enjoy Spain. Quite simply, this place is crap and you'll regret the expenditure. Very expensive for poor food and poor service.

  • Have never eaten at the restaurant, and would be wary after these dreadful reviews, but the chorizo/rocket roll, from the stall in the market, is nothing short of sublime.

  • While the quality of the food is generally good (Chorizo on toast, Gambas etc) the bill can get eyewateringly obese if you add in a decent bottle of wine. Their charcuterie plate is odiously expensive. Sorry but £95 for 6 assorted snacks and a few glasses of wine does not cut it anymore with lacklustre service and an extended wait for a table. Will not be going back.

  • I like the atmosphere and buzz here although I admit that the wait for a table is at times frustrating. The food is excellent - my favourite dish is the deep friend goat's cheese awith honey nd I always enjoy the gambas pil pil. It's not cheap though - expect to pay £65 approx for a light meal for two people - that's sharing 4-5 dishes and a bottle of the second cheapest red, compared to about £45 for the same quantity of food in the nearby Jose.
