This Antipodean-run operation is expanding, but the concession in an upmarket supermarket in Richmond (Source) is where it all began. The current espresso blend is a complex mixture of seven varieties of coffee beans (a collaborative effort from Taylor Street Baristas and its supplier Union Hand Roasters), the machine a World Barista Championship-approved (oh yes) Dalla Corte Evolution 2003. The espresso (well-timed) came out a shimmering deep amber with a splendid golden-brown crema. Full-bodied and smooth with a glorious sweet and bright finish, with hints of clove and walnuts that peppered the palate.

My no. 1 coffeehouse. That isn't an accolade i give easily but Taylor Street is, without doubt, my favourite coffeehouse and eatery. Tasty fresh lamingtons and delicious savoury bites and a fabulous loyalty programme - what's not to love?! 10/10 from this reviewer.

I absolutely love the place: the coffe is one of the best ones i ever had - always something exciting and super-delcious. The service is nice and i like the quirky decor and changing art work on the walls. Don't think any other coffee place is offering as good bargain as these guys with their loyalty card. Yes, the queue can be long in the rush hours but it's worth the wait. True fact is that since i tried coffee here i just cannot go back to any other chain, their coffee is just not good enough any more.
