Tea Rooms

This tea shop experience was a great disappointment last Saturday for a special occasion and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It was a rip off for £26.00 a head which included a small glass of prosecco. The selection of sandwiches and cakes was apalling with very little choice and we were told how many sandwiches and scones we were allowed each and all of them were very small. There was no sign of pretty cupcakes or carrot cake, chocolate cake etc and for that price you would expect to be able to choose a slice of cake of your choice rather than a small selection of uninteresting cakes. The scones were the tiniest I have ever seen and the tea pots weren't even topped up with hot water let alone us being offered fresh pots of tea. The staff weren't over friendly, the service was poor with one of us having to ask again for our prosecco, and all in all the experience bore very little relation to what is advertised on their website. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I visit the Tea Rooms on a regular basis and I find it a lovely place. The food is delicious and the staff are so nice. The coffee is lovely and the cakes are out of this world! A trip to Church Street is a wonderful thing in itself and the Tea Rooms' vintage charm and lovely atmosphere is the cherry on top. I go there all the time!

Visited the Tea Rooms recently and was so shocked. The coffee was terrible, cold and weak, service very disappointing and the place was very dirty. I will never return to this place, it was such a bad experience.
