TCC has everything one looks for in a local restaurant: it's lively, cheap, cosy and serves fantastic food. Naturally, it's always packed - not that hard, admittedly, with a space the size of an average living room. The menu abounds with fresh, lip-tingling chilli sensations, from the dipping sauces for the usual range of starters to the fragrant pad cha and more forgiving green curry. Even the chicken satay has an excitingly spicy aftertaste, though everything can be prepared with the chilli taken out (useful if you're with kids). The desserts (oranges and coconuts filled with ice-cream) are bought in, but they're not the reason anyone eats here. Bring your own booze, and some cash - they don't take credit cards.

Fabulous place always packed so a bit noisy take your own booze and don't bother to turn up without booking ... You will rarely get a table

We went here on Saturday for the first time in (at least) a couple of years. We've visited this restaurant on and off for many years, and this most recent experience was a disappointment. Whilst the menu has grown, the quality has slipped. It's still ok, but lacks the genuine homecooked feel it used to have. Basic and hearty, but just not the gem it used to be - even with a full dining room of boozy ED-ers.

This disastrous meal was a huge disappointment. Every element of the meal was horrendous, 'curries' that were more like watery sloppy sewerage with what seemed to include frozen veg of the disgusting school canteen horror variety. You would almost think it would be an effort to make food that bad. I just think it's a crying shame, when Thai food is so wonderful, that an experience like this would give it such a bad name and rob people in the process. A big shame.

The Thai Corner Cafe is a lovely little restaurant, very reasonably priced with tasty food and bring your own alcohol. Unfortunately, you have reviewed a different restaurant!!

This is a review for another cafe, not the Thai Corner Cafe.
