The best time to visit Min Jiang is for lunch, when you can enjoy a panoramic view of London from the tenth floor of the Royal Garden Hotel (which includes a glimpse of Kensington Palace). At night, you only get to see your own reflection. Dining takes place in a calm and modern room that's smartly adorned with reproduction Ming vases.
Despite the visual attractions, the food doesn't take a back seat. Beijing duck is a speciality, but we chose from the dim sum menu, which we've found to be consistently good. Cheung fun, the supple steamed rice-noodle roll, arrived packed with shiitake mushrooms and was excellent. Steamed shanghai dumplings came with a delicious spicy dip. From the main menu, braised belly of pork, rich and sticky, was served with small rice buns.
Flavours can be a little muted, though; our Sichuan-inspired stir-fried string beans with minced chicken could have done with more firepower. Service is pleasant, but can get stretched when the room fills up.

Facilities
Babies and children welcome ( high chairs; nappy-changing facilities ), Booking advisable ( essential Thur-Sun ), Separate room for parties ( seats 20 ), Disabled ( lift; toilet )I enjoy dim sum here more than their offerings at dinner...probably one of the best places in London for dim sum (admittedly there aren't many good dim sum places around, but Min Jiang is actually quite good). The view from Min Jiang is fantastic.
