This lovely domed café is the old pavilion for Victoria Park lake. In summer, seating is all outdoors. There's plenty of it - on a terrace, on stools perched breakfast-bar style against lakeside balustrades, and sheltering beneath the café's eaves - but on a sunny day it's all full by noon. Staff can get a little overloaded at peak times, but they're generally efficient and warmly friendly.
This is a big breakfast destination, offering all the classic dishes, both plebby (beans on toast) and posh (eggs florentine, benedict and royale) in huge portions. It's all expertly cooked but occasionally bland. Lunch is a matter of fancy sandwiches plus the odd burger and salad. Whatever time you visit, leave room for the satisfying house-made cakes, which are good and moist: the chocolate and marmalade is a classic.

This place is not expensive as soem peopel stated. You get what you paid fopr. The moment your plate arrives (have been here more than 20 times and never had to wait for more than 5-7 minutes, even on the busiest summer day) you can see and smell the quality of the ingredients. And never,ever, in the 20 or so times I have been here, have I experienced a bland dish. COffee is top of the range as well, fla vour and execution alike. I'm salivating already, just writing this... Keep it up guys.
P.S. would be great if you add some fresh juices and smoothies.
Just to thanks for the reviews guys we ve been striving to be a leader and more progressive in where we source the food . Im hoping on bringing on a few more farms improving the kitchen and introduce an outside coffee cart look out for our opening of are bakery in February in Broadway market , and a farm box scheme also Im off to Cornwall on monday to get an exclusive on the real cornish ice cream from Roskillys Farm in redruth were also going alot more veggie .

Love it. Come here most Sundays or my coffee and brekkie - never had to wait long for my food but then I always head in before 10am. Its simple, great tasting food and that's what I want on a Sunday morning. More than happy with the pricing which is reasonable considering the quality of the ingredients.
We travel across London for pavilion - our favourite place to come for breakfast. The croissants are the most delicious I have ever tasted (made in a railway arch bakery in east London by an artisan baker I was told), and the granola and honeycomb butter pancakes are incredible. Fry up is good for a hangover too.It is clear they are passionate about sourcing their food ethically and it is top quality (square mile coffee, milk from farm in Kent). The staff are knowledgeable and friendly too. I don't mind about the lake in fact I quite like seeing the developments each week! I love how I get different fruit on top of my delicious granola as the seasons change (figs, banana and blackberries this week). It never takes longer than 5 mins to arrive, even when are incredibly busy. Highly recommend this gem!
Great food for breakfast, and fantastic coffee on top of that. I've never had a long wait for food, and if it did take longer, the quality of the cooking makes it worth it.
I visited the cafe for lunch on bank holiday Monday - nice busy vibe. Had salad with the best smoked salmon ever. Lovely mixed tomatoes - I can tell that great quality ingredients are used. Also tried a latte - very good coffee and yummy cakes that regularly change, so there is always a tasty surprise waiting. Staff often seem a bit distracted however. Can't wait for the lake to return!
No Lake but the foods still awesome , prices are fair considering they use the best ingredients looking forward to the lake returning ASAP

We live round the corner and would love if this place was the nice little neighourhood cafe it wants to be - unfortunately, the wait for even the simplest of dishes is far, far too long. If comparing asymmetrical haircuts and ironic shoes with other trustafarians whilst dodging the thronging thurstons, harpers and jocastas if your thing then you will feel right at home here. Also too expensive.
This is my favorite breakfast place in London, I go there nearly every weekend. The location, right on the lake, is stunning and the food is perfect. It can get really busy specially in sunny days, but what would you expect!!
Just to say the staff can be a little short on busy days , but generally there lovely and all of them know how I like my coffee extra hot no foam its very busy on sunny days but then its very good
Im lovin it especially the location a nice big farm house breakfast then back to bed on a sunday with the papers
just a short walk from my house but it must be close to the best benedict in london get there early before 11am to avoid disappointment . Love it 5 stars
this is definitely not worth 4 stars... my experience there was incredibly disappointing... would not go there again.
surprisingly bad wait staff & service. would not recommend going here again, not worth the trouble.
