Named after the city on the island of Madeira, this friendly bakery-deli-café is a favourite with local mums as well as expats. The bolo con arroz, dome-topped cakes made with rice in the batter, are several nourishing notches above what you'll find in many London coffee shops. The custard tarts are superb too. Grab some great-value Gallo olive oil and Funchal honey on your way out.
