Time Out says

Please note, Geffrye Museum Cafe is now closed. Time Out Food editors, FEBRUARY 2020.

The gently nostalgic Geffrye Museum is not one of London’s best known, and its café is tucked away at the back of the orderly eighteenth-century almshouses that accommodate the displays of historical English interiors. It’s in a glass-walled, modern pavilion that projects into the pretty gardens and looks out over the Hoxton Overground station. Food is largely of the usual museum café variety – soup, sandwiches, salads and a few mains with a few daily specials. Prices are reasonable, and there is a heavy emphasis on buying British produce, right down to the all-English beer and wine selections.
