A few crates of farm-fresh organic produce greet you at the entrance of ths petite vegan store and café. Space is tight (this is a quick-stop destination: no tables, no chairs), but a good eye for cool styling means G&T fits in well in its east London locale. A couple of very 'now' ladder shelves are crammed with organic and vegan products including Suma rice, Yogi teas, Geo's stew-in-a-tin and Alara cereals.

The brief but carefully executed menu offers dishes made with organic and vegan ingredients. The falafel in our sandwich was a little anaemic-looking and lacked crunch, but good seeded bread and a zesty mayo perked things up. Far better was the courgette, rocket, houmous and onion marmalade sarnie on sourdough - a flavourful affair.

A selection of cakes are supplied by vegan restaurant Manna - we particularly approved of the rich pecan and apricot brownies. Union coffees are available with regular dairy milk, though you get a 5p discount if you opt for the exceptionally good Bonsoy milk - they best soy option we've ever tried.

This is a really good place where you can eat a tasty sandwich made with tofu and vegan mayo. Really delicious! You can also find a lot of other yummy sweet treats such as handmade cakes and muffins. All the products are really original and it is worth it to try them!

This is my new favourite cafe in east London. I love the vegan food. It's a great stop before getting stuck into the hussle and bussle of the tube and central London. I welcome addition to the area!
