This is in the Waitrose in Canary Wharf, a kaitensushi sandwiched between the pastry and cheese counters. There’s no obviously division from the supermarket itself and it shuts at 8:30 on a weekday and earlier at the weekends.
Despite the usual setting, I have always enjoyed going there, as the food is fresh and tasty, the service is polite and habitually efficient, which is exactly what you would expect from a good conveyer-belt place. It is more expensive than the likes of Yo! but then again you get what you paid for in terms of quality of the fish, which is declared as locally sourced and sustainable wherever possible. For me it’s well worth the price differentials to even a few of the Japanese cafes in Soho. There are also regular special offers for members (sign up on their website).
Overall, lovely food and service; great for a quick snack/lunch/after work dindins with friends; not so good for romantic meals.
