This restaurant, bar and karaoke joint close to Camden’s Stables Market takes its name from the Chinese practise of drinking tea - a tradition nearly always enjoyed while tucking into dim sum. And it's dim sum in which this place specialises.
There's plenty of choice to it, too. Options include pork and prawn shumai, crystal scallop and prawn dumplings, steamed lotus leaf rice with chicken, pork and shrimp, prawn cheung fun and beef ball on bean curd skin. And if you're feeling adventurous? Try the chicken feet in black bean sauce, or the five spice pig ear.
Outside of the dim sum, the menu borders on pan-Asian - think nasi goreng from Malaysia, massaman curry from Thailand, Vietnamese-style spring rolls and Japanese gyoza. It's all available to take away, too.

It's not claiming to be the best dim sum ever, but it's pretty great on Mon-Weds when it's 50% off and you get a whole heap of tasty and cheap dumplings. Perfect to grab group meals.
mm mmm mmm this is some tasty dim sum! I recommend to go monday - wednesday so you grab the 50% off dim sum, makes it so much better cos you can have that much more! Really good service, nice ambience and friendly staff. A must go when in Camden. Can't comment on the other food, have only had the dim sum, just proves how good it is.
Good dim sum, not particularly tailored to Western tastes (hence the presence of chicken feet on the menu which, according to my dining buddy, were excellent). The restaurant is scruffy but the food is good - if you don't like authentically "Chinese" Chinese food, then you probably won't like it. But that's ok, you can go across the road to Camden Market for sweet and sour chicken balls in highlighter-orange sauce and leave this place to us.
Best Dim Sum in London! Very traditional Hong Kong style dimmy, fast attentive service, good food. Spaces available downstairs for booking also very good. Highly recommended, good value for money
Following this review I ordered the dried shrimp and mushroom cheung fun, and a chicken dumpling. The chicken dumpling was good (although a bit dear at £3.50 for 3 dumplings), but the cheung fun - although 8 or 9 long pieces in the serving - was an utter disappointment, containing almost no filling and totally flour-y and glutinous. I'm not one to judge a restaurant on one visit though, so will definitely go again - but during the half-price evenings mon-wed.
