Ask is a virtual palace in comparison with the other shops along this stretch of Tottenham Court Road, providing four floors of stock, more staff than you can shake a stick at and a lofty feel.
Boasting a clean online service, which allows you either delivery or a pick-up service, the company supplies some 10,000 different lines, with the emphasis on popular items like home-cinema packages, hi-fi equipment, laptops (no Macs though), digital cameras, sat navs, MP3 players and DAB radios from big-name brands.
Staff are helpful but not overly pushy – and they’re trained by the manufacturers themselves so they’re kept up to date with new technology and are always willing to impart their knowledge. Competitive prices, frequent special offers and a ‘try before you buy’ policy are further pluses.
