The above description by time out is not reflective of the experience that shoppers enjoy and you only need to look at the reviews below to see the difference. Time Out should avoid this type of defamation, "The distinctive terracotta façade with its dark-green awnings stirs up some of the most divided feelings in the capital: for every tourist who comes out clutching their must-have Harrods teddy, there’s a local who sniffs at its vulgarity." It would be better to just state the facts, like there are over 300 different departments, etc,.

This shop is really something special. It have his own soul. I visited it this weekend and it impressed me. Very big with plenty of things. Really something prestigious.

Harrods will always have a special place in my heart, the experience is amazing. I spend hours wandering round the Food Hall. I have got to admit I avoided the clothes floor for a few years until my friend and I went to the shoe department and well I found heaven... I cant afford them but it doesn't cost to look! Love the pet department and always buy a cheesy pretzel on my way out.

I love Harrods. I love the Dodi and Diana statue. I love the opulence of the food hall. Although, I can't afford a single thing in this shop. And, probably never will. There is nothing better than aspirational, window shopping. The pet shop is one of my favourite places. With its overpriced pampered animals, bling jewellery for pooches and highly essential dog deodorant. Another department I like is the floor with all the carpets. I just reminds me of a modern day Aladdin's cave. The Food Hall is also fantastic. Harrods is more than a shop to me. It is a shopping experience.

What a great experience, I took my 14 year old daughter here this week. The food halls are so much fun, we ate at Rotisserie and the roasted chicken was the best i have ever had. The staff are so friendly and courteous, very pricey but overall the Harrod's experience was just so much fun even for a jaded New Yorker like me!
