Let music be your religion and head to this exclusive pop-up store on Ganton Street. Setting up for a limited 12-day stay, the store will be selling the entire Jimi Hendrix music and video catalogue along with authentic merchandise including printed tees, posters and guitar picks. Celebrating the launch of ‘People, Hells and Angels’ – a compilation of rare recordings from ’68 to’69 – the store will also be exhibiting a selection of images taken by famed British rock photographer Gered Mankowitz, as well as holding ‘Plug & Play’ demo’s in the basement where visitors can attend a Jimi Hendrix master class and try their hand at a selection of iconic riffs and licks (advance booking required on www.fender.com). Pop in store on Apr 1 when Janie Hendrix (the legendary rocker’s sister) will be signing copies of ‘Jimi Hendrix: The Ultimate Lyric Book’, or get personally signed prints of Gered Mankowitz photos at a meet-and-greet on Apr 6.
