Sheer Bliss

I cannot believe this place is still open for what they call business. The receptionist is very rude and they constantly gossips in Turkish with other members of staff making the non turkish customer feel uneasy and unwelcome. The staff don't have a clue what they're doing, I went in for a face wax and had my skin ripped off instead only to be told its my own fault for having sent over skin :s no after care was given and te manager was very unsympathetic to my situation. They ruined my eyebrows and tried telling me they were like that when I arrived like I don't know my own face aboaulurwly horrendous their licence should be revoked as they clearly do not have the competence to carry out their jobs. Avoid this place at all costs., I stopped going and do my own facial hair removal and managed to rectify the train wreck that they made my eyebrows..

I recently moved into area and was recommended sheerbliss by a friend who has been their to and said was very happy with treatment she had I read all the feed backs too but wanted to try it out for myself I was so suprised of the negative feedbacks as my experience their was great reception was very helpful and friendly very clean and was offered tea/coffee and I was only having an eyebrow shape I found their prices very reasonable and have now booked myself in for more waxing and facial

its very good but they keep raising the prices.... which can be a put off.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR SUNBEDS - They've recently raised the price from 50p to 75p a minute - a horribly uncalled for sudden increase of 50%. There's a place 5 minutes down the road on Kingsland road that's still 50p a minute - I urge you to go there. Other than that, the receptionists are very cold and rude, not at all welcoming, apart from one girl that works there on a Sunday. The hair products there are also horribly over priced. Overall - bad, bad bad.

I had the absolute worst waxing experience of my life. I have gone for Hollywood or Brazilian waxes many times at other salons and never, has it ever, hurt as badly as it did tonight. I really don't think the beautician had any idea what she was doing. Not only that, she left wax everywhere, including on my clothing. Plus, she claimed that I didn't ask for hot wax, and went with strips - even after I questioned her about it she continued to use the strips... The wrong way! She didn't rub the whole area to make the wax stick to the paper, and repeatedly stuck the strip to the area and ripped away causing even more pain. It was a completely awful experience. I will never go back.

Recently moved to dalston and found myself fantastic hair beauty and sunbed salon they have wide range of treatments and products and sunbeds are 50p a minute i had a wonderful hydradermie facial with giunot skincare products at less than half the price of the big major stores waxing was great No problems at all would recomend to everyone xxxxx

I had exactly the same experience as Charlene. I went last night and had a full bikini wax by an 'experienced therapist'. I had hair (patches of it) removed along with most of my skin too. When I asked at the till if the beautician had qualifications to do waxing and I told them that it was the most painful and worse wax I have ever had, I was told that next time I should ask to not see that particular therapist, they still took my money. I called this morning after a painful night and asked to speak to the manager. I am also still waiting to hear back. I have been to Sheer Bliss many times and it has always been a good beauticians however I am never EVER going back!

I had a full bikini wax last wednesday by an "experienced therapist" who told me at the end the area would be sticky for awhile but did not explain why. When I got home it all became apparent to me that she had stripped away my skin aswell as the hair. When I called them the following day I was told the manager would call me back, No call came through, so back on the phone I went and this has gone on for a week. Today (following weds) the therapist calls me, tells me she is not sure who I was (so I reminded her) Then she gave me all this different reasons why it may have happened. No apology, no empathy no nothing.... I THINK THEY ARE THE WORST SALOON FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES so for this reason they don't get ratings from me. That is my last visit there.

pot luck with the haircuts, way too expensive blowdries, crap overpriced manicures which take too long, good sunbeds

My regular hairdresser moved out of the area, had a girl who has apparently been there for 10 years!!!! How I don't know. I thought every hairdressor would know what a light blow dry meant, instead she laboriously blow dried my hair for 1/2 hour, I kept stopping her, trying to say a 'light blow dry' I was beginning to resemble something out of an old Dynasty episode (all big hair). Her response was 'I think it looks nice'!! Never mind what I wanted and asked for. And to add insult to injury the whole thing cost me almost £10 more than with my previous hairdresser.
