This splendidly tot-friendly all-rounder consists of a long, antique space with a stained-glass skylight and wonky wooden floors. The Dragon continues to draw in the majority of Crouch End’s young families, and its frequent warehouse sales (see website for details) are not to be missed. There’s a lovely little play area and toy kitchen, a wide range of toys and dressing-up kit, and attractive and affordable stripy knits for both babies and toddlers. To add to the Soup Dragon label there are rompers and play clothes from Katvig and Idat. Classic toys from Dejeco and Tomy, plus covetable one-offs such as rocking horses and dolls’ houses.

Manageress was extremely rude! Had a hand written credit note which was issued by the previous manageress and at the time I was told it had an open ended expiry so it wouldn't matter if I came back years later... and that was exactly what i did as i live so far from this shop. My credit note was refused by the current manageress and told that they don't even issue hand written credit notes any long and she could not agree to honour it! It was my son's birthday ffs and we had driven an hour to get there! Spoke to the owner the following day and was fobbed off with her due to go on holiday in 4 days time so couldn't be dealing with it now!!! Made several attempts to contact her since as she said she'd call me on her return! Finally got hold of her and she has refused also to honour it even though I said i had witnesses with me at the time who also hear the previous manageress state there was no time limit. It is well over priced anyway and based on my awful experience i would not recommend anyone to shop here!!!! Also the red sandals that we did buy from here were useless, not cheap and gave no support to my then toddler's feet! It is a small shop that is so crammed with stuff that i felt claustrophobic when in it.
