It's great to have the market where you can actually afford to buy fruit and veg for your family. I appreciate these people standing out in the cold all day !
It's unique in Croydon
The sort of shop you would expect to find in Greenwich village, New York.
A simply astonishing range of rare craft beers.
Partly a cheap-and-cheerful classic fruit and veg market ('any bowl a pound!'), but you can also get exotic fruit and veg not found anywhere else in London (like raw unripe jackfruit).
They've been expanding into ready-made food, with several excellent food trucks/stalls at weekday lunchtimes including THE. BEST. PIEROGIES. IN. LONDON. at Fat Thursday. (Despite the name, they're there all week...)
Part of the establishment - great produce and great value. Let's hope the gentrification of the area and Westfield doesn't get in the way of this local and historical gem
Brilliant for fruit and veg, lots of artisan traders on the Sunday market and delicious street food available all week
Surrey Street dates back to 1276 and features a diverse range of stalls including traditional fruit and veg, world food, perfume and clothing. The market is now open on Sundays and hosts a vibrant Beats and Eats event featuring local artists.
Surrey Street Market is where I have bought most of my fruit, veg and plants for years. It is cheap, the quality is good and the colours and banter always make me feel happier.
Support our market - it really is something special in the heart of Croydon. Veg and banter - top notch !! Pahnd a Pahnd !!
Five perfectly ripe avocados for a pound! Better quality fruit and veg than many a supermarket at a fraction of the price.
50p. 50p. 50p. Worth it just for the 50p lady. Will she put her prices up? Does she have the vocabulary?
Everything is a pound...well almost! A great selection of fresh produce at amazing prices. Love the Thai stall for their quality herbs and so much cheaper than supermarket.
