The bags may be well punched and the weights worn here, but the tuition with former super-middleweight contender Enzo Giordano is excellent and the atmosphere good-humoured and empowering. The classes – two each weekday and a couple at the weekend - attract both sexes and all standards.

I'm afraid if your after some boxing lessons from Enzo Giordano/Boxing London at 20 Hazelville Road N19 then it's no longer possible. Although they are also based at Shadwell, East London. However it's been the home of the 'Islington Boxing Club' since 1980, one of North London’s premier amateur boxing gyms. The official Islington Boxing Club web site can now be found at islingtonboxingclub.org. Boxing London have now left our gym and currently are seeking new premises. The Islington Boxing Club as a charity are able to offer membership and weekly rates at a much reduced price compared to Boxing London.

This really kicks your butt into shape. Hard work but very very satisfying, and yo can almost feel the pounds melt away after one session. My muscels felt toned the following day, and after a couple of weeks i was visibly more defined. There is a really easy going atmosphere, everyone is relaxed, friendly and laid back, but focused on getting fit. Well worth it if you want to kick start your way into 2010 with some hardcore exercise.
