The play that launched detective story queen Agatha Christie's second career as a playwright in 1930 is staged with Jason Durr replacing Robert Powell as her famous Belgian detective Poirot. This script is Poirot's first and only stage outing and is set in the English countryside as an earth shattering formula by eccentric inventor is stolen. Durr joins a long list of people who have played the sleuth, including David Suchet who finished his TV stint in late 2013. Perhaps this will patch up the hole in fans' hearts.
