If you're looking for free outdoor fun for all this summer, you'd do well to head down to Greenwich. The borough hosts the annual Greenwich and Docklands International Festival (GDIF) which brings together a brilliantly diverse line up of companies from all over the world. Over 50 events feature in the eight-day festival, from the visually bonkers to the arrestingly intimate. Venues are scattered all around Greenwich and Docklands and include the National Maritime Museum, Haverfield Green, Old Royal Naval College and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. This year's highlights include Spanish/Argentinian company Voala's 'Muare' where 13 performers are suspended 30 meters above the audience in an optical art mobile (National Maritime Museum. Fri Jun 20, 10pm); 'Safe House' from Metro Boulot Dodo and Wired Aerial Theatre in which a house becomes a platform for impressive acrobatics (Haverfield Green. Sat Jun 21, 10pm) and 'Greenwich Fair', a three day showcase of performances featuring over 26 companies (Old Royal Naval College and Cutty Sark Gardens. Fri Jun 20 - Sun Jun 23).
