The Royal Court teams up with the British Council on this project to present a line-up of staged readings of six new plays from South Africa developed with the help of the Royal Court. 'A New Song' by Napo Masheane focuses on a domestic worker who gets involved with the Anti Pass Book campaign of the 1950s (Monday, 7pm); 'NewFoundLand' by Neil Coppen explores religion, sexuality and race (Tuesday, 7pm); 'Fana La Fale' by Omphile Molusi tells of lives lived in corrugated slums (Wednesday, 7pm); suspense thriller 'Brave' by Mongiwekaya looks old divisions in a new country (Thursday, 7pm); 'All Who Pass' by Amy Jephta is set in District 6 in Cape Town in 1974 (Friday, 7pm); and 'The Last MK Fighter' is Simo Majola's look at a difficult father-son relationship (Saturday, 3pm). The series is complimented by poetry readings and panel discussions.
