'Phoenix Rising' arrives at the Tristan Bates theatre from Nottingham Playhouse where it ran as part of the DH Lawrence centenary festival. The play tells of Lawrence and his wife Frieda as they live on a small island off the southern French coast, two years before the writer's death as he reminisces about his early life.
