The Old King

Epic movement-theatre from Alain Platel's Belgian not-ballet company Les Ballet C de la B, with inspiration as diverse as Camille Paglia's controversial study of Western Culture, 'Sexual Personae', and 'a photograph of a depressed man smoking with a book on his lap'. Part of the London International Mime Festival, and featuring some disturbing images, 'The Old King' focuses on a lone, struggling figure during what could be the first or last days of the world.
