It's so easy to fall in love with a good children's book that we often remember them more clearly and fondly than our real-life childhood acquaintances. This free exhibition of archive material relating to classic Puffin’s stories, including 'Watership Down', 'Charlotte's Web' and 'The Borrowers', will bring all those literary friends right back to you.
Michelle Magorian will appear at the exhibition on July 23 (6.30pm, £5, book ahead) to talk about the inspiration behind her novels and about her notebook, which appears in the exhibition and contains extracts from the hand-written draft for 'Goodnight Mister Tom'.
