If you think exercise is nothing without a side of suffering, this physically challenging fundraiser will be right up your muddy, hilly street. Participants will take on an urban assault course involving wading through water pits, walking the plank, crawling along a suspended rope and avoiding a gunge pool. There are 5km and 10km routes to choose between and every entrant gets a medal and finishers' t-shirt. Teams of up to four are allowed too. A quarter of the entry fee goes to Macmillan Cancer Support, and further fundraising is encouraged, but not obligatory. Prices go up incrementally, so register via the Adrenaline Rush website as soon as possible for lower rates.
