This high-spec set of escape rooms close to Aldgate East tube has proven a real draw for a few years now. It looks like it’s getting even better, too. There are now five different rooms, with most, it has to be said, with a hint of the nightmarish about them (think Hotel of Horrors, Psycopath’s Den, and the perhaps-too-close-to-home Patient Zero 2150, where you’ll have to prevent a plague of biblical proportions).
Still, that’s all part of the fun. After all, what’s the point of an escape room without a bit of peril? Well, AIM can answer that question actually, as the fifth room is less anchored to fear, and instead pulls on your heartstrings. With Come Home, you’ve got an hour to fix a cute little robot passed down through the family. And if you don’t? Sweet Gregg the robot gets wiped forever. Bless his little circuit boards.
