Soak up some imaginary sun at this event channelling the spirit of 1970s California in tribute to the RA's current Richard Diebenkorn exhibition, which features images painted on the artist's beach front studio in Santa Monica. Stop by the SoCal beach for a pina colada and to sway to some soft rock disco played by Club Yacht Rock DJs and Berlin-based DJ Supermarkt. Street artist Darren John will create a mural inspired by Venice Beach, and Burlington House will be transformed into a Beverly Hills mansion in which you'll find meditative kirtan chanting, live surfboard art, 70s fashion and live surf-beat music from Sky Murphy and the General. Skater and filmaker Winstan Whitter will talk on the emergence of skateboarding, and the Richard Diebenkorn exhibition will be open all night. Dig out your best denim.
