The V&A haven't been traditional about their Christmas tree for years now – much more fun to ask their creative contacts to design a special one for them. Jasper Conran, Alexander McQueen and Tord Boontje, Matthew Williamson and Boudicca have all helped out in previous years, and this time its the turn of British fashion designer Gareth Pugh. His four-metre tall creation 'Ceremony' mirrors the shape of a pine tree, its nine golden shards clustered to suggest a gathering, paying tribute to the community spirit that is at the heart of the festive season.
