Double dare you to order the hottest thing on the menu at this celebration of the small but mighty chilli pepper, brought together by Wahaca co-founder Thomasina Miers, Twitter-based gluttons Tweat Up and food market champions Street Feast. Your ticket includes a couple of cocktails and an ice-cold beer to quench the heat when you get ambitious, plus access to fiery demonstrations from chefs such as Girogio Locatelli, Gizzi Erskine and Atul Kochar. DJs will keep the party just as hot as the food. Traders include Wahaca, Roti Chai, Yum Bun, Slider Bar and even Rococo, who are putting together some sweet chilli chocolate treats. Book ahead for one of three sessions, then get ready to feel the burn.

What a waste of money ! Don't bother, go to Camden instead, far better food, try before you buy and atmosphere 100% better. Not at all impressed. No hot chilli, which is what you'd expect. I've been conned !!!

I had my 15 year old in tow. Levered away from his xbox, the threat of Chilly Chilly Bang Bang food feast only slightly glazed his eyes. Tickets sold out so a limited amount on the door. 4.30 nobody selling tickets and it's cold miserable and Dalston Yard looks frighteningly dud. 6.30 we get in after massive queue. £15 no £16.55 no. Now it is £9 including a free beer and a piece of lime to top it. Boy wonder gets in free ! Atmosphere brimming with super aromas and now the parties out. Highlight was three mini pizzas with mint, scotch bonnet beetroot or lamb or more. This was from a stall called rola wa something. The names were all confusing. Also elsewhere, chilli and choc gelato....overwhelming. Conclusion ' Dad, that was pretty cool and most modern thing you done' Wow, I used to be so last year . Thanks Time Out and the Chilly chaps, you mad a semi old man very appy in Ackney.
