This three-day convention is a paradise for Star Trek fans, not least thanks to the impressive line-up of actors, directors, producers and writers from the show. The list includes faces so famous that even non-Trekkies would be impressed – William Shatner and Patrick Stewart top the bill, with Leonard Nimoy being beamed in on a live video feed. Jonathan Ross will introduce more than 40 actors for a Q&A at the Opening Ceremony (Oct 3), while autograph and photo opportunities will run throughout the event. Visit the Klingon Zone to learn to speak their language, and possibly even find intergalactic love in the Klingon Speed Dating session. Fancy dress is encouraged, and guests can win prizes in the daily costume parade. Themed parties take place on Friday and Saturday nights, with an extra ticket fee on the door for those with standard entry tickets. Booking recommended.
