Festivaleyes is an online market where independent designers sell their festival-inspired creations. Almost everything for sale is one or more of the following: sparkly, feathered, tasselled, spandex, metallic, animal print or sequined. To celebrate the launch of their website and a new series of weekend open day events the team have curated a day of creative workshops and fun fitness classes, followed by an evening of dancing, video art projections and an exciting sounding glitter station.
Day-time workshops and classes (from £10-£20) include piñata making, up-cycling pillowcases into crop tops, voga (80s dance-move inspired yoga) and disco barre (pilates using a ballet barre to an upbeat house soundtrack). There will also be Thai massages, express manicures and a giant mural that visitors can contribute to through out the day. The Festivaleyes 2015 collection will be on show and local sweet and savoury treats will be available to purchase. Hackney DJs Dim the Lights will provide the soundtrack for the evening launch party (free before 9pm, £5 after). Look online for a full line up, timings and prices.
